Thursday February 25th
8:00 am to 3:00 pm (1 hour break will be provided for lunch 11:30 am -12:30 pm)
This 1-Day Basic Math course is designed to give current and potential treatment operators an overview of the fundamentals required to solve mathematical problems in water & wastewater treatment. The course is designed to build a foundation that will help operators break down a math problem into its fundamental components and facilitate its solution. The topics covered include why math is needed in treatment, units of measure, an overview of the tools used for operator math (calculators & formula sheets), unit conversions, problem-solving strategy, flow, velocity, detention time, loading rate, chemical feed, etc.
Students that take this course will receive:
- An Ennoble Training Solutions course manual that includes notes and practice problems
- The manual consists of additional problems and solutions that students can continue to solve after class is over
- Access to online math practice exams to reinforce and assess the skills of the students
- Continued email support for students that have any questions
A calculator is highly suggested for this course.
This course is approved by the GA Board of Water and Wastewater Treatment Operators and Laboratory Analysts for 6 renewal points.
